If you haven’t done so yet, please go to GoodSearch for details. We are listed as “Animal Protection League – South Carolina.”
APL Events
Annual Auction:
The annual auction will be held November 3. Please see the home page for details.
Adopt-a-Pet Saturdays:
The
APL takes a selection of dogs to various locations on Saturdays to make
them available for adoption. These events are usually from 11 a.m. to 3
p.m. and are held at the Animal Supply House in Irmo (1674 Lake Murray
Blvd), the Animal Supply House in Lexington (5474 Augusta Rd), and
PetSmart in Lexington (5135 U Sunset Blvd). To find out where we will
be on a particular Saturday, please see our most recent newsletter for
the adoption schedule.
The APL adoption staff volunteers knowledgeable about the pets and will answer questions and assist with the adoption process. An adoption fee is required to help cover the cost of the spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations and other health care required for the pets to be ready for adoption. The current fee is $100 for a cat and $150 and up for a dog. (Cats are available at the APL shelter, PetSmart in Lexington, and PetSmart on Two Notch Road.) For additional information please call 783-2119 or e-mail the shelter at aplpets@bellsouth.net.
To see all the animals who are currently available for adoption, go to our Pet Adoption page.
